In an effort to address unnecessary permitting delays that are hindering the restoration of the Cokeburg Dam, House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail and Rep. Bud Cook, along with other lawmakers, will be hosting a hearing. The hearing, titled "Removing Obstacles to Opportunity to Save the Cokeburg Dam," aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced in restoring this popular recreational landmark.

Scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, at 1 p.m., the hearing will take place at the Cokeburg Volunteer Fire Department in Cokeburg, PA. The event will feature testimonies from various individuals including Holly Detts-Dranzo, the president of Cokeburg Borough Council, and Dave Lambert, the chief of the Cokeburg Volunteer Fire Department.

The Cokeburg Dam, located in Pennsylvania, has long been a cherished spot for recreational activities. However, the restoration efforts have been significantly hampered by unnecessary permitting delays.
