Senator Camera Bartolotta has announced that more than $3.8 million in state grant funding will be allocated to transportation and infrastructure projects in Greene and Washington counties. The funds, totaling $3,822,396, were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority through its Multimodal Transportation Fund Program.
The program is designed to support projects that improve safety, promote economic development, and enhance mobility for both residents and businesses in the area.
“A safe, reliable transportation network is essential to strong communities and economic growth,” Bartolotta said. “It is vital to address long-standing infrastructure needs, improve safety and support future development in the 46th district.”
The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants for the development, rehabilitation, and enhancement of transportation assets such as roads, bridges, streetscape improvements, lighting upgrades, sidewalk enhancements, pedestrian safety measures, improved connectivity of transportation systems, and transit-oriented development.
