On Saturday, Nov. 29, former California Area High School standout Jake Layhue’s current collegiate team the California Vulcans lost 21-23 against the Frostburg State Bobcats in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The game took place at Adamson Stadium at 12 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Frostburg State Bobcats in the tournament.
