Jason Ortitay, a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, posted several messages on his X (formerly Twitter) account in August 2025 referencing legislative activity and interactions with colleagues.

On August 9, Ortitay posted a brief message: “Swear jar! https://t.co/iQuNJXyyqA”.

Later that day, he addressed legislative efforts around early literacy funding, writing: “I introduced a bill to fund early literacy 187 days ago and you refuse to meet or even discuss it. https://t.co/cgU44jkH7p” on August 9.

On August 11, Ortitay commented on the effectiveness of social media engagement in politics, stating: “Keep tweeting! That’ll work! Have you considered meeting with the senate or any legislator for that matter? https://t.co/U0NINoz9y9”.

Jason Ortitay represents parts of Allegheny and Washington counties in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He has previously focused on education policy and government transparency as part of his legislative agenda.
