Jason Ortitay, a prominent figure in legislative circles, recently shared his experiences at an early literacy rally held in the Capitol. His tweets provide insight into the events and interactions that took place during this initiative aimed at promoting literacy.

On May 13, 2025, Ortitay tweeted about his attendance at the rally alongside fellow legislator Rep. J. Fleming. He wrote, “Hanging with my good friend @RepJFleming at today’s rally for early literacy in the Capitol! @paliteracy”.

Later that day, Ortitay mentioned an impromptu meeting with advocates from the Pennsylvania Literacy Coalition. He expressed his appreciation for their efforts by tweeting, “Starting off the day with a surprise visit to see @paliteracy coalition advocates in the Capitol! You couldn’t ask for a better group of people!”.

Additionally, Ortitay shared his gratitude for having had the opportunity to speak at the rally. He conveyed optimism about the growing support for early literacy initiatives through his tweet: “Grateful to speak at today’s rally in the Capitol for early literacy! The momentum is building! @paliteracy”.

The event was organized by PA Literacy Coalition (appositive: an organization dedicated to advancing literacy across Pennsylvania).
