On Monday, March 23, Journey Thompson, a former Peters Township High School basketball standout, and her Syracuse Orange team were defeated 98-45 by the UConn Huskies in the NCAA Tournament.
The matchup was held at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, tipping off at 6 p.m.
Thompson tallied six points and eight rebounds over 15 minutes of playing time.
