Nine projects in the 46th Senatorial District will receive funding through the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement (PHARE) fund, as announced by Sen. Camera Bartolotta. These initiatives are set to receive nearly $1.8 million in total.

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency administers the program, which is funded by the Marcellus Shale Impact Fee, Realty Transfer Tax, and National Housing Trust Fund.

Sen. Bartolotta highlighted the benefits of resource drilling in Pennsylvania: “Drilling to take advantage of Pennsylvania’s abundant natural resources serves us by helping to diversify our energy sources and controlling costs. It also benefits us through the Impact Fee by providing significant revenue to municipalities and counties that helps manage the demands placed on resources.”

The specific grants have been categorized by county for Greene County and Washington County.
