Bentworth Senior High School issued the following announcement on April 9
Dear Bentworth Community,
Today the Governor issued an order under Act 13 of 2020 to close all public schools through the end of the 2019-2020 academic year.
This order impacts all K-12 schools and programs, public and private, Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, Head Start Supplemental Assistance Programs and Preschool Early Intervention programs. In addition, institutions of higher education are prohibited from offering in-person instruction.
Although the order requires schools to remain closed, Bentworth will continue to provide instruction through remote learning and learning packets.
As we continue this adventure I am sure there will continue to be hurdles. Please be patient as we move forward and develop plans for graduation. As we look to the future, I am excited by the opportunity to create a very unique and memorable graduation ceremony for our Bentworth students and parents.
Please know I am CONFIDENT that by maintaining a positive outlook and supporting one another there will be nothing that we cannot overcome. WE will make this a GREAT year for the Bentworth family.
