97 percent of applicants to California University of Pennsylvania were admitted for fall 2018

At California University of Pennsylvania, 76 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in California enrolled 7,310 students in fall 2018, including 5,172 in undergraduate and 2,138 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

93 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 5 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Black or African American (13 percent).

The school admitted 97 percent of the 2,957 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
