Community College of Allegheny County counselor Lawrence Doperak donates $200 to Mark Kelly's campaign

Lawrence Doperak, a counselor at Community College of Allegheny County, donated $200 to Democratic Party candidate Mark Kelly, according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to records, there have been $1,646 in campaign contributions made by individuals affiliated with Community College of Allegheny County as of November 3. All of these contributions were made to Democratic Party candidates and committees.

Alycia Bencloski-Brashear's contribution of $832 to Democratic Party Andrew Yang was the largest contribution made by someone affiliated with Community College of Allegheny County since January 1, 2019.

According to an Inside Higher Ed analysis of federal elections data, individuals that were affiliated with colleges and universities have donated five times more money to Joe Biden than to President Trump. A study by Pew Research in 2017 found that 58 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought colleges and universities have a negative impact on the way things are going in this country.
