Washington County ranked 14th in Pennsylvania for resident earnings in 2018

Washington County ranked 14th among counties in Pennsylvania by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Washington County residents was $30,602 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 84,100 households with a population of 207,547.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Chester County with $41,522 per year after adjusting for inflation – $10,920 more than Washington County. It had 189,592 households with a population of 517,156.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Forest County with $16,617 per year after adjusting for inflation – $13,985 less than Washington County. It had 1,631 households with a population of 7,351.
