Peters Township issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.
Columbia Gas Projects
Columbia Gas has informed the Township of two gas main replacement projects that will be starting this month. The first project is scheduled to begin the week of January 10th with most work occurring in Cecil Township, except for a stretch along Valley Brook Road between Rock Run Road and the Cecil border. The second project is expected to be night work and is scheduled to begin around January 13th along Washington Road between Old Oak Road and Braun Drive. Columbia’s contractor for both projects is NPL. Roads will remain open to traffic with flaggers employed to facilitate lane closures as needed. Columbia Gas will be notifying their customers by US Mail.
