Borland Manor Elementary School issued the following announcement on April 6
The Frank Sarris Public Library is happy to announce that virtual library cards are available to community members who currently do not have a WAGGIN library card. Virtual library cards are available to all ages, and written parent/guardian approval for those under age 18 is not required at this time. A virtual library card will allow you to access our electronic resources, such as eBooks and audio books through Libby, electronic magazines through Flipster, movie streaming and kids’ shows through Kanopy and community courses through Universal Class, all from the comfort of your home. There is no fee to register for a virtual library card. Additionally, because the resources are accessed electronically, you don’t have to worry about overdue fines or lost items.
If you currently do not have a WAGGIN library card and would like to receive a virtual WAGGIN library card through the Frank Sarris Public Library, complete the required information in the FSPL Virtual Library Card Registration form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe0smgN6ktPkH1mgvWSt3YOTsaLDlbh3e1S_ncyKPwJriemyg/viewform)
and click submit when done. Make sure to include a valid email address that you check regularly as that is how we will notify you of your new library card number. Due to security settings, students cannot use their CMSD email address to email out or receive emails. Therefore, it cannot be used to set up a virtual library card. Students will need to use a personal email address and not their CMSD email address.
Please allow us one day to process your request Monday-Thursday. Any requests received Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be processed by the following Tuesday.
Our email to you will include your new library card number, a link to access the electronic resources as well as instructions for accessing each of our resources. However, if you have any questions about accessing our electronic resources, please feel free to email director@franksarrislibrary.org with Subject line: eResource Question and we’ll do our best to help you via email.
