Borough of East Washington issued the following announcement on June 4
Jacob Beabout, Brandon Coffman, and Patrick Mounts presented a check to Mayor Gomber for $300 towards the Officer John Dryer Memorial Bench. The men are members of the Sons of Hiram of the 29th Masonic District. The memorial bench was approved by Borough Council in April and is funded by private donations. The bench will be placed in the Borough Memorial Park later this year.
Officer Dryer served as a part-time officer with the East Washington Borough. He was killed in the line of duty on December 19th, 2011 while making a traffic stop.
