Hopewell Township  issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.

PUBLIC NOTICE – HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, WASHINGTON COUNTY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 1504 of the Second-Class Township Code that beginning on Sunday, September 26, 2021, 9:00 A.M. EST, the Hopewell Township Board of Supervisors will offer for sale to the highest bidder at electronic auction sale the following items which will be for sale in “as is” condition: 1.) 2000 Ford F-550 VIN # 1FDAF57F9YEB19329 with 9-foot Myers Plow 2.) 5-foot International Brush Hog 3.) 6-foot RM600 Woods Mower 4.) Six (6) 225-70-R19.5 Continental Conti Hybrid HS3 tires.

 Bids are being accepted through the Municibid website at https://municibid.com/ .  Items for sale can be found under the Pennsylvania municipality listing of Hopewell Township and Listing # 38679908 (2000 Ford F-550 VIN # 1FDAF57F9YEB19329 with 9-foot Myers Plow), Listing # 38680005 (5-foot International Brush Hog), Listing # 38680083 (6-foot RM600 Woods Mower) and Listing # 38680322 (Six (6) 225-70-R19.5 Continental Conti Hybrid HS3 tires).

 The auction will be open for bidding until Wednesday, October 06, 2021, 9:00 A.M. EST, which is the date/time set for the opening of the bids. The duration of the listing is from Sunday, September 26, 2021, 9:00 A.M. EST until Wednesday, October 06, 2021, 9:00 A.M. EST for a total of ten days. The award of the bid contract/agreement of sale shall be made only by public announcement at a regular or special meeting of the Board of Supervisors. The next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors following the opening of the bids is scheduled for Monday, October 11, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. EST; the meeting will either be held at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building (20 Parkview Road, Avella, PA 15312) or held in accordance with Act 15 of 2020.

All bids shall be accepted on the condition that the purchase price shall be paid by the high bidder immediately or at a reasonable time after the conclusion of the electronic auction as determined by the Township. Successful bidders must be prepared to pay the amount due as a certified check or money order made payable to Hopewell Township upon acceptance of the successful bid. In the event that shipping costs are incurred, they shall be paid by the successful bidder. The bidder is responsible for all transfer costs associated with the sale of the vehicles and/or equipment, including any applicable sales tax. There are no warranties expressed or implied or no refunds; all listed vehicles and/or equipment are being offered for sale in their current condition.

Hopewell Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids received if the bids are believed to be less than the fair market value of the property. Please call the Township Office at 724-345-3333 to inspect the vehicle. Inspections are by appointment only during regular Road Department hours.
