St. Benedict the Abbot Church recently issued the following announcement.
St. Vincent de Paul Donation Statements
A donation statement is available from St. Vincent de Paul for those of you who are itemizing deductions on your 2021 Federal Income Tax return. If you have given $250 or more, you may request a statement generated from donations received in the blue envelopes or checks mailed directly to the church by submitted you name, address, envelope number and email address to the St. Vincent de Paul Poor Box located in the narthex of St. Benedicts or mailing it to the parish office no later than January 31, 2022. If an email address is provided, the statement will be delivered via email. For the 2021 tax period, a person who does not itemize may deduct $300 for charitable cash donations. His/her spouse filing jointly can also deduct $300 for charitable cash donations.
