Volunteer Needed for Parks, Recreation & Open Space Committee - Do You LOVE the Outdoors? - Due Date October 31, 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a volunteer position on the Franklin Township Parks, Recreation & Open Space Committee is available now.  If you are interested in being considered to be appointed to this position, please send an email to jeastburn@franklintownship.us describing the reason for your interest and how your life experiences will contribute to your success in this volunteer position no later than October 31, 2022.  You may also choose to submit your information via US mail – Franklin Township, P.O. Box 118, Kemblesville, PA 19347.

Volunteers are an integral part of Franklin Township’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space Committee to successfully help and maintain Crossan Park, maintaining trails and our beautiful preserves that offer a range of activities to the community.  This group is also interested in open space conservation, planning events at Crossan Park, etc...   It is required that you attend a monthly PRO Meeting the first Wednesday of the month, starting at 7:00 PM.  We simply could not do it without the help of people like you!  Volunteering gives you the opportunity to exercise your mind and body, share your unique expertise, and learn new skills.  We invite you to join with us to make a difference in our community!

The decision on who will fill this vacancy will be made at the November 7, 2022 Board of Supervisors Workshop Meeting starting at 7:00 PM. The position will commence at that time and continue until May of 2023.  Reappointment for positions for open seats on the PRO will take place May of 2023.  The public is encouraged to attend via Zoom or by visiting us here at the office;  the invitation will be located on the Township website.  If you have any questions, please call the Township Office at 1-610-255-5212.

Thank you,

Jeffrey P. Eastburn
