5.1% of Washington County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Washington County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 5,463 people out of the 209,090 living in Washington County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Washington County has decreased compared to the 5.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Washington County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 102,521 people who had a job during that time, 150 were employed in the Armed Forces and 102,371 belonged to the civilian labor force.
