Rep. Tim O’Neal (R-Washington) has announced that his office will be hosting three Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinics during the month of May. The clinics aim to assist Pennsylvania residents in applying for rebates on property taxes and rent. O’Neal highlighted the increased eligibility for the program this year, stating, "This year more Pennsylvania residents are eligible for the program due to a legislative expansion that I supported."

The clinics will be held on specific dates in May at different locations to cater to residents' convenience. O’Neal emphasized that no one should have to pay for assistance in completing the application, and he expressed his satisfaction in having his staff present in the community to facilitate the application process. He stated, "No one should pay for assistance in completing the program’s application. I’m pleased to be able to have my staff out in the community to make it easier to apply."

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinics will provide support to Pennsylvanians who are 65 or older, widows and widowers 50 years or older, and individuals 18 years or older with disabilities. Eligible individuals can receive rebates on property taxes and rent paid in the previous year, with income limits raised to $45,000 and a maximum rebate of $1,000.

Those interested in applying for the program are advised to bring identification, proof of 2023 income, and relevant documentation such as a signed rent certificate or paid property tax receipts. Assistance will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis during the clinic hours.

The clinics are scheduled as follows:

- Thursday, May 9, at the Donora Senior Center, 683 Meldon Ave., Donora.

- Wednesday, May 15, at the Carroll Township Municipal Building, 130 Baird St., Monongahela.

- Tuesday, May 21, at the Amwell Township Building, 885 Amity Ridge Road, Amity.

Residents of the 48th Legislative District in Washington County, encompassing various townships and boroughs, are encouraged to take advantage of these clinics for support in applying for property tax and rent rebates.
