The "Blessing of the Balers" event will take place on May 3, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The event aims to celebrate Pennsylvania's agriculture industry and offer a blessing for a successful hay season. Participants include agriculture organizations, state officials, beef growers, and farmers from across the state.

A baler and tractor will be present for the blessing ceremony, with attendees encouraged to bring their hitch pins. This event follows a similar gathering held last year in Greene County, Pennsylvania.

Key figures attending the event include Representative Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington), Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, Chris Hoffman—president of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau—and Reverend Donald Wilson from Greene County. Other lawmakers and agriculture producers are also expected to join.

The gathering will be located on Commonwealth Avenue behind the state Capitol building in Harrisburg. For further information, media representatives can contact Patricia Hippler at 717-772-9846 or via email at phippler@pahousegop.com.
