Rep. Bud Cook has expressed approval for a $250,000 grant awarded to Rices Landing Borough. The funding, provided through the Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program (GTRP), is designated for enhancing a playground at Pumpkin Run Park.

The project represents the first phase of a broader initiative aimed at expanding recreational opportunities in the park. It will involve replacing the current damaged playground with new equipment including swings, a playground set, rubber edging, and 250 square yards of rubber play surface.

"Our children deserve the most up-to-date playground equipment on which to play and grow," said Cook. "I am grateful to see this funding come to Greene County and invested into our youth."

The GTRP is supported by Act 13 of 2012 and seeks to improve parks, trails, and recreational spaces throughout Pennsylvania.
