Society of St Vincent de Paul— Second Collection on July 31
The second collection on July 31 will be for St Vincent de Paul Conference. With your generous support we are able to help our neighbors in need with rent, utilities, food and other necessities of life.
In the past 9 months, we have received 54 calls on the helpline for which we were able to assist 33 families. Remaining calls were related to questions regarding donations of money or furniture, how our program works or we were unable to make contact with the caller. We assisted these families and twinned with our sister conferences in the amount of $31,057. Every penny received goes directly to our friends in need. All other expenses are paid for by members of our conference. With your generous donations from the SVdP collections, local business donations and the Poor Box in the narthex of St Benedict church, we collected $22,441. As you can see, our need to assist our neighbors who are financially struggling during this time has increased and now exceeds the donations received.
Please pray for our Friends in Need and our conference and donate your time or money to this ministry.
