On Tuesday, the House Republican Caucus re-elected Representative Tim O’Neal to serve as its whip for the 2025-26 Legislative Session. O'Neal, who represents Washington, expressed gratitude for his peers' confidence in him. "It is an honor to be chosen by my peers again to help lead the caucus for the next two years," he stated. He emphasized the commitment of House Republicans to foster a desirable living and working environment in the Commonwealth through fiscal responsibility and limited government.
As whip, O’Neal will manage tracking House votes and updating his 100 Republican colleagues on upcoming issues and legislation. First elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives after a special election in May 2018, O’Neal is set to begin his fourth full term in January.
O'Neal's background includes a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he participated in ROTC and served with the Pennsylvania National Guard. His military service included active duty with a tour in Afghanistan, earning him a Bronze Star with “V” for valor. Upon returning from service, he completed an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business before transitioning into roles within the energy industry and human resources.
The House Republican Leadership team for this session also includes Rep. Jesse Topper as Leader, Rep. Jim Struzzi as Appropriations Chair, Rep. Martina White as Caucus Chairman, Rep. Clint Owlett as Caucus Secretary, Rep. Sheryl Delozier as Caucus Administrator, and Rep. David Rowe as Policy Committee Chair.
The 48th Legislative District represented by O’Neal encompasses parts of Washington County including various townships and boroughs such as Donora and East Washington.
